As common practice at end of the summer, we are pleased to share all the closing dates and times for the Summer Transfer Market 2025 across European Leagues Members.
Why does this matter?
Transfer window deadlines are not fully harmonised across Europe and depend on the independent decisions of each country. These variations can affect clubs’ strategies, particularly when competing with markets that remain open longer.
When do the transfer markets close across Europe?
With just a few days left before the end of the summer transfer window, the European Leagues presents its annual transfer window countdown, disclosing exact closing dates and times for all major European markets.
Please note that the closing times refer to the deadline for signing and registering players, not for their sale. The deadline for sales is based on the closing time of the market in the league where the incoming club is located. Therefore, transfers to clubs in countries with later market deadlines can still be completed even if the national market of the selling club has already closed.
Each League may have slightly different deadlines for finalising last-minute deals. Many summer leagues also close earlier and some have already ended their window. Our overview includes European Leagues members only, providing clubs, media, and stakeholders with a complete picture of their transfer market landscape.
Check the live the European Leagues 2025 Summer Transfer Window Countdown for the latest updates. We will also share a similar overview for the winter transfer market later this season.
