When do the transfer markets close across Europe?
With just a few days remaining before the end of the summer transfer window, we are excited to present our annual transfer window countdown, including the exact closing dates and times for all major European markets.
Please note that the closing times refer to the deadline for purchasing and registering players, not for their sale. The deadline for sales is based on the closing time of the market in the league where the purchasing club is located. Therefore, transfers to clubs in countries with later market deadlines can still be completed even if the national market in the purchasing club’s country has closed.
Looking at the “top 5” leagues, the deadline is set for August 30th, though other leagues may have slightly different closing dates for finalising last-minute deals. Many summer leagues have earlier deadlines and may have already closed.
