In this second edition of our newsletter, and for a united, inclusive, and sustainable football, we take a look back at the most impactful Social and Environmental Sustainability initiatives across European domestic football in October 2025.

As part of the ongoing efforts by leagues across Europe to drive positive change on and off the pitch, we are pleased to share our monthly roundup of inspiring initiatives that highlight how domestic leagues are contributing to a more responsible, inclusive, and sustainable football ecosystem.

[Ligue de Football Professionnel] – Toulouse FC will host the “most inclusive match”

On the occasion of the World Football Summit in Madrid, and in partnership with Integrated Dreams, the LFP and Toulouse FC announced the next edition of the “Most Inclusive Match”, to be help in March 2026 during the Toulouse FC and FC Lorient fixture, as part of Matchday 27 of Ligue 1 McDonald’s. The “Most Inclusive Match” is a pioneering initiative promoting accessility and inclusion for people with disabilities, ensuring that everyone can fully enjoy the matchday experience. – [Read the news]

The NI Football League is once again calling on supporters to wear their Statement Shirts this week in support of Action Mental Health, as part of our ongoing commitment to promoting positive mental health across the football community. [Pro League] – The world of football and the gambling sector are joining forces against gambling addiction and match manipulation

Belgian football and the regulated gambling sector are uniting their efforts in the fight against gambling addiction and match manipulation. With the conclusion of the Integrity Sessions—a joint awareness campaign by the Pro League, BAGO (the Belgian Association of Licensed Gaming Operators), and the RBFA—a significant step has been taken towards greater integrity in football. – [Read the news – Original News]

[Swiss Football League] – SFL Hosts Second Inclusion Tournament at Wankdorf

The Swiss Football League, together with Football is More and BSC Young Boys, organized its second inclusion tournament on October 5 at Wankdorf Stadium in Bern. [Premier League] – Premier League and clubs highlight power of education for No Room For Racism

From 18 to 26 October, all Premier League fixtures have highlighted the No Room For Racism campaign, reinforcing the league’s commitment to fighting discrimination and promoting diversity. [Veikkausliiga] – Veikkausliiga Recognizes 2025 Season’s Responsible Initiatives

Veikkaussliiga honored three standouts responsible initiatives from the 2025 season during Club Day. [DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga] – DFL Launches Player Care and Prevention Division

The DFL has established a new “Player Care/Prevention” division to provide holistic support for licensed and youth players. [Lega Serie A] – Serie A in Action for the 10th Edition of #IoLeggoPerché

For the 10th consecutive year, Serie A is backing #IoLeggaPerché, encouraging fans to buy and donate books to school librairies fro 7-16 November 2025. [Lega Serie B] – Lega Serie B Supports Komen Italia’s Breast Cancer Prevention Campaign

During International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lega Serie B partners with Komen Italia for the sixth edition of “Prevention is Our Masterpiece”. On the 7th Serie BKT matchday, players will wear the pink ribbon, stadiums will promote the initiative, and social media channels will share awareness messages. [Liga Portugal] – Liga Portugal Captains Unite for Integrity in Sport

During Sport Integrity Month, Liga Portugal, in partnership with SIGA, launched the “Charter for Integrity”, signed by all team captains across Liga Portugal Betclic and Liga Portugal 2 Meu Super. [European Leagues] – European Leagues and Members united against Hate Speech and Online Abuse in Sport

The European Leagues, represented by the Belgian Pro League, participated last week in the third meeting of the Open Method of Coordination (OMC) group on “Hate Speech in Sport,” organised by the Council of the European Union under the EU Work Plan for Sport 2024–2027. The OMC group aims to provide non-binding recommendations to relevant stakeholders to reduce occurrences of online hate speech in sport. – [Read the news]
