Leagues Sustainability Roundup – August 2026

For this August edition of our Leagues Sustainability Roundup, we highlight some of the key social and environmental sustainability initiatives delivered across European domestic football.

Throughout the month, European leagues continued to demonstrate football’s positive impact beyond the pitch through initiatives promoting health, education, inclusion and community engagement. From inspiring young people and encouraging active lifestyles to strengthening community safety, advancing equal opportunities and supporting people with disabilities, domestic leagues once again showcased football’s unique ability to create meaningful and lasting impact across society.

 

“Ready for Greatness”: Supporting the next generation of sporting talent Bundesliga, Germany
