The European Leagues were represented today in Istanbul by our Deputy General Secretary, Alberto Colombo, to kick off social dialogue negotiations among Turkish football stakeholders.
Alongside representatives of FIFPRO Europe, ECA, and UEFA, the delegation of the Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee in Professional Football, which operates under the coordination of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, reinitiated discussions on the improvement of the standard contract for professional football players in the country, as well as on procedural aspects related to national dispute mechanisms.
During this process, which kicked-off today at the headquarters of the Turkish Football Federation, the European Leagues will cooperate closely with the Turkish Union of Clubs (Kulüpler Birliği), which is the body representing Süper Lig Clubs in the country and member of the European Leagues since 2010.
