European Leagues General Assembly to be held in Istanbul on 28-29 April

On Friday 29 April 2022, the European Leagues members will meet for their General Assembly at the Conrad Hotel Bosphorus in Istanbul, Turkey.

Hosted by the Turkish Union of Clubs, the European Leagues General Assembly will gather the representatives of 36 professional football leagues and football stakeholders including FIFA, UEFA, ECA, FIFPRO, players and fan representatives. The Agenda of the General Assembly shall be made public one week before the event.

Dr.Çağrı İlk, Turkish Union of Clubs General Secretary, upon welcoming European Leagues General Assembly: “It will be a pleasure for us to host such an important event in Istanbul, the city where two continents meet. We are very excited to have the European Leagues and its members gathering in Turkey and to welcome the football stakeholders to discuss about many important topics we have in agenda”.

The European Leagues General Assembly will be preceded the day before by a Seminar with focus on financial sustainability in Professional Football, among other topics in agenda.

A press conference will be held at the end of the General Assembly, starting approximately at 13:00hs (local time), at the Conrad Hotel Bosphorus in Istanbul. Media will have the possibility to follow the press conference both in person and online. A media registration form shall be shared with international and local Turkish media in due course.
