European Leagues and Clubs meet in Madrid on 6-7 May

Following the successful Club Advisory Platform that took place in Amsterdam in April 2018, where Leagues and Clubs met to discuss a variety of issues facing European football, the European Leagues will held the next Club Advisory Platform in Madrid on 6 – 7 May hosted by LaLiga.

The “Club Advisory Platform” is an informal gathering open to all Football Clubs from all around Europe. The reason for the creation of this platform and important meeting is two-fold. Firstly, to give clubs an update on the recent and current developments in European Professional Club Football. Secondly, the meeting will give the opportunity to clubs to have an open discussion, to hear opinion and feedback about the future of club football competitions in Europe.

Following ECA confirmation to plan radical European Club Competition changes that could damage domestic competitions and football at large – Promotion and relegation part of explosive Champions League plans – we, the European Leagues, see it as our duty and responsibility to inform all European clubs of the consequences that certain decisions will have on the future of European football. The objective is to explain the threat and danger that the majority of clubs in Europe are currently facing. We aim to avoid that improper information may mislead the whole football community, to serve the interest of a few.

Dozens of CEOs and Presidents from football clubs across Europe have already registered which shows the huge amount of interest and concern around European football.
