The second edition of the European Leagues’ ELEVATE Executive Development Programme concluded this week with the final session held in Frankfurt, Germany, hosted by the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL). Over three days, participants had the opportunity to spend a day at the DFB Campus as well as the DFL headquarters while also enjoying a great matchday experience at Mainz 05.
The first day kicked-off with the participants working in groups to finalise their Group Project Task which was based on formulating an external investment proposal to boost the future growth and development of the Norwegian league, as a case study.
On the second day, at the DFB Campus, in the morning the participants presented their projects to the judging panel which included Jens Haugland (CEO) and Rune Riberg (CFO) of the Norwegian League respectively. The commitment, creativity and teamwork resulted in excellent group project presentations. The afternoon was dedicated to sessions with experts from the DFB where participants learned about the DFB’s TechLab and took part in an applied neurocentric training session.
On the final day, at the DFL headquarters, following an insightful discussion with Steffen Merkel (Co-CEO) on the strategic agenda of the DFL, the participants engaged in an active Q&A session following an interesting presentation on the DFL’s approach to managing fan relations.
The session concluded with a graduation ceremony, recognizing the achievement and dedication of the 20 participants.
As these graduates progress in their careers, they have now built an invaluable network across Europe and hold the potential to shape, together, the future of European football!
