As part of the landmark betting data and technology partnership recently signed with Genius Sports, the European Leagues, together with 25 member leagues, were invited to the Intelligent Sports Summit – Football, organised by Genius Sports. Leagues representatives joined panel sessions exploring how data and AI are transforming professional football, with discussions highlighting opportunities for fan engagement, performance analysis, and new data-driven revenue streams.
The European Leagues also hosted an internal members’ meeting, which included a dedicated partnership exchange with Genius Sports with a key focus on the next-generation GeniusIQ platform which, among other uses cases, powers performance analysis, officiating tools and enhanced fan engagement. Members also addressed specific topics such as scouting rights and wider commercial and business development initiatives.
Finally, the European Leagues were pleased to participate in Leaders Week, where Chris Gerstle joined a panel discussion on centralized data and technological innovation, highlighting how these developments are creating new opportunities across media, performance, and commercial revenue.
These three days in London illustrated the European Leagues’ commitment, alongside its member leagues and partners, to leveraging innovation and technology to drive the sustainable growth of professional football.
