The EPFL at the EU Sport Forum in Madrid

The forum took place on the 19 and 20 April. Authorities and experts met to analyze EU sports cooperation, Commission initiatives in this area – especially those concerning the social function of sport as well as the organization and funding of sports events – and the elements required to implement the new EU competencies with regard to sport.

The EPFL CEO, Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, took part in the high level panel  scheduled for 20 April, held jointly with the Informal Meeting of Sports Ministers, whereupon a joint panel on the ?Treaty of Lisbon and Sport – a new agenda? took place.
